The film “Adalen 31” was made in 1969. It tells the story of the events surrounding the Adalen workers’ strike of 1931. “Adalen 31” won the Grand Jury Prize at the 1969 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for 2 important awards: Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
