Czesław Niemen. Polskie Stowarzyszenie Jazzowe
1970
Original Polish poster advertising a Czesław Niemen concert organised by the Concert Agency of the Polish Jazz Association. Poster design: unsigned, 1975.
The Polish Jazz Association is an organisation of jazz musicians and composers, as well as critics and organisers and promoters of jazz music. The origins of the Association date back to 1957, when the Federation of Polish Jazz Clubs was established, but it was not until 1969 that the Polish Jazz Association was actually founded. Musicians such as Jan Byrczek, Andrzej Trzaskowski, Krzysztof Komeda and Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski were active in the Association. One of the most important activities of the Association was also the publishing of the music magazine Jazz Forum (since 1965).
