The drama was written by Karol Wojtyła in 1964, before he became Pope. The author gave the subtitle ‘Radiation of Fatherhood’ as ‘mystery’. The work reflects on the maturing of fatherhood and the building of man’s relationship with God, with people, as well as on the father’s mission in the family. Wojtyła’s drama was first performed at the Variety Theatre in 1983. The play, directed by Andrzej Maria Marczewski, was also released as a television performance on 1 June 1987.
