The premiere of the play based on a work by Ludwik Adam Dmuszewski took place on 30 May 1964 in the Rehearsal Hall of the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw. The performance was very well received, and the reviews were exceptionally complimentary. One of them can be read on the Encyclopaedia of Theatre website
